Today, Farmers & Stockmens Bank located in Clayton, New Mexico, is thrilled to announce that Ira Jordan Ward has officially taken the role of Market President following the retirement of Larry R. Fluhman at the end of last year.

Jordan began working with Farmers & Stockmens Bank in 2010 as a loan officer after working in real estate appraisals for five years. As a graduate of Eastern New Mexico University, and the Graduate School of Banking at University of Colorado, Boulder, Jordan is well prepared to take on the role of Market President.

Jordan is a native of New Mexico, having grown up in Pastura, New Mexico as a fifth-generation rancher. Agriculture has always been a very big part of Jordan’s life and his family’s livelihood, including starting his own ranching operation when he was in high school. Beyond banking and real estate, Jordan is skilled in animal husbandry, range management and additional ranching skills. He understands the nuances of the economy in New Mexico, and the importance of strong community relationships.

In addition to his ranching experience, Jordan is the President of the Clayton Golf Club Board, and is involved in numerous other community organizations, including acting as the auctioneer and emcee at several local community events.

“I’m looking forward to my new role with Farmers & Stockmens Bank. We’ve been a staple in the community for the past 100 years, and I’m honored to be at the helm as we start the journey through the next 100,” said Mr. Ward.

Jordan’s focus in his new role is to expand the impact and services of Farmers & Stockmens Bank to others across the five-state area in need of a strong agricultural banking partner.
