Customers Review on Alaska USA Federal Credit Union

Customer1

Horrible bank to deal with. They have lousy customer service, and their employees are not knowledgeable about the products that they offer. They are closed on Saturdays. They lost our checks in the mail. When I was in my branch, another customer was in there saying that her checks were lost.

Customer2

I’ve been an Alaska USA member for my entire adult life and have generally been satisfied with their service. However, my business checking debit card was compromised, and 90% of my balance was stolen. Alaska USA gave me the run-around and said that I had no protection/recourse.

They said I had to report the fraud with 48 hours of it occurring, even though federal law gives consumers 60 days to report fraud. (I wrote it 10 minutes after discovery). When I asked pointed questions about their policies and federal law, their customer service representatives could not answer basic questions about their policies or federal laws. I will be filing a complaint with the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau and taking all of my banking accounts and needs elsewhere.

Customer3

Worst banking experience that I have ever faced with any banking institution anywhere. I’m reporting Alaska USA to the BBB. They haven’t treated me; they treated me like a piece of shit. Somehow, I’m not sure how I have to pay them five bucks to close my account BECAUSE OF THEIR OWN I COMPETENCE. Such a nasty, horrible experience with these fucking money grabbers. Save yourself the headache and bank somewhere else.
